It looks like the Nine Network is changing it's mind about their Friday night comedy line-up. After a series of promotions heralding their "new night of comedy", the next two weeks sees the removal of Cybill, Frasier, Can't Hurry Love and High Society.
In it's place are two movies; on the 25th of July will be another viewing of Another 48 Hours and on the 8th of August we will be viewing All American Murder.
It looks like Nine has realised their comedy line-up was not going to be any competition against Seven's AFL Friday Night Football in the key markets in Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.
Cybill and Frasier had a half a chance but the two turkeys following had no chance whatsoever. They had failed in the US so why did Nine ever think they would achieve any success here?
The crime of the matter is that we will be deprived of seeing one of the best of the US sitcoms; Frasier due to the programming bungle. I hope they don't move this wonderful show to one of their graveyard shifts; something they did to the wonderful Murphy Brown. It would be a real shame.
