The Nine Network's Chief Executive Officer, David Leckie, today announced the promotion of Paul Fenn to the position of Director of Network News
Paul Fenn will be responsible not only for Sydney News operations but also for all network bulletins and the operation of news bureaus in Canberra and overseas.
"Paul has more than proven his skills in the Sydney market. He hasn't lost a survey since he took over five years ago," Mr Leckie said. "He has just signed a long-term contract with the network and we're keen to give him even more responsibility."
Mr Fenn said he was delighted with the promotion. "I've been at Nine for nearly 20 years. This is the job I've always wanted. There's no doubt these are challenging times, with a lot more competition, but we'll be doing our utmost to keep the faith with our audience and stay number one."
Peter Meakin will remain in charge of all information programs on the network.
