NewsRadio star Andy Dick busted for drugs after ramming his car into a telephone pole

Poor, poor NewsRadio. Has ever there been a more beleaguered show in
the history of television? The show suffered the devastating loss of star
Phil Hartman when he was murdered in 1998. Last Friday, NBC officially
cancelled the show altogether due to terrible ratings. And then, there are
the endless antics of Andy Dick, including his Saturday arrest for drug
possession.
Dick crashed his car straight into a telephone pole. And, like any decent
Hollywood resident, he promptly jumped out of his car and ran from the
scene of the accident. Unfortunately, a witness chased after him, tackled
poor Dick (what imagery), and kept him there until the fuzz showed up.
According to the New York Post, the cops searched Andy's car and found
drugs! Not just one kind either - apparently our wild boy had both weed and
coke in his possession. He was hauled in by the police but released later
on $10,000 bond. He'll be making a cameo appearance in court on May 25,
where he'll probably get off lightly unlike the rest of idiots in the world
who get multiple years in jail just for possession of a joint. Perks of the
industry, you know.
It seems like Andy is a Hollywood horror story waiting to happen. He's had
his share of success, playing Matthew Brock on News Radio and
appearing such movies as in Reality Bites, For the Boys, Flashback,
and In The Army Now. He has at least one in-depth webpage about him.
And yet, we still get the feeling he wants to go out in flames. He's been
to rehab once already, in March of 1998. Then, during a show at a Florida
university, he was accused of exposing himself (all puns intended) to
anyone who'd peek. Best of
all, he was one of the last people who hung out and partied with David
Strickland (Suddenly Susan) before the actor hung himself in Vegas.
We've also heard he's kind of unfriendly when people meet him in real life.
Suffice to say, we're worried.
Well, at least we know whom to invite to a party if Robert Downey, Jr. is
otherwise engaged or just wandering lost through other people's houses.
