NBC Studios and Dreamworks have signed X-Files writer/producers Glen Morgan and Jim Wong to executive-produce The Others, a mid-season replacement thriller about a group of people who can connect with the spirit world.

This paranormal thing seems to be working out for the duo: after their work on The X-Files, they worked on Millennium, then on the supernatural thriller Flight 180 for New Line Cinema.

So let’s hope, for NBC’s sake, that this whole spooky/scary/weird well hasn’t run dry just yet.
