Network Ten announced today two new Australian lifestyle programs for the 2000 primetime TV season.
Ten have commissioned a pilot for a half hour program called 'Love Rules' produced by Bob Campbell and Des Monaghan from Screentime Pty Ltd. Love Rules is described as a light hearted relationship program following two new couples each week on an eventful first date. From the initial approach on the telephone, then onto the big date and afterwards to see how they clicked as a couple, our cameras will be there every step of the way.
A host for the program is yet to be announced.
Ten has also given the green light to, and has high hopes for Switching Lives, another reality show hosted by Amanda Keller.
Everyday people will find themselves in the most unlikely 'switched' circumstances. A successful company director finds himself delivering pizzas. A suburban housewife gets to run a high profile national magazine. A cooking presenter travels to outback Australia to cater for 100 shearers.
"Both programs are fresh, new concepts that will provide endless entertainment," says Network Ten program director David Mott. "I am particulary proud to announce these programs which mark the beginning of Ten's showcase of local programming committment for the new year - there is definately more to follow that will surprise and reward Ten viewers."
