Network Ten Scores Another Cancelled SeriesThursday 14 August 1997 By eBroadcast Staff and agencies.
Network Ten is going to give us the Aaron Spelling soap Pacific Palisades, scheduled for airing in September.
Starring Australia’s own super bitch Kimberley Davies, the word is that it will slip into the Melrose Place timeslot after the current series is finished. Kimberley is in Melbourne planning her wedding to long-time boyfriend Jason Harvey, so she will be on hand to help launch the show.
Despite a first-class cast, including Joan Collins as Davies mother, the show has been pulled by Spelling due to the poor ratings in the US. So, we will be getting the only 13 episodes shown. Of course Mr. Spelling may be so taken with the Australian reception he’ll go back into production right away.
If you believe that then I have a bridge for sale that I want to talk to you about buying.
