Mr. T Pities The Fool Who Says He's Dying

Thursday 15 July 1999
By eBroadcast Staff and agencies.

Anyone who endured Mr. T's entire appearance on the Howard Stern Radio show in America knows that one thing is for certain: he sure doesn't sound like he's dying of cancer. In fact, after listening to his non-stop gabfest, one might wonder whether he even has cancer at all. The A-team alum sounded more like he had a bad caffeine habit than the big C.

'I call it the 'one cheek sneak' - it's very discreet and very potent.'
The actor was on Stern to promote his new yet-to-be-published book Cancer Saved My Life, a personal account of his battle with the disease. The Mr. T tour continued on to the Marriott, where he held a powwow with book publishers and reporters in an effort to create interest in his opus.

When the former bodyguard was asked if he was losing his bout with cancer he declared, "Mr. T ain't dyin', and I pity the fool that says it!" The actor has reportedly been suffering from t-cell lymphoma, and is receiving chemotherapy. He also refuted rumors that he is broke.
