Monty Python Alum To Join Suddenly Susan Cast

'Oh dear, I think I've made a colossal error!'

This news proves the theory "if you wave enough money under someone's nose you can get them to do anything," is certainly true. In this case you can get a veteran comedy actor to join the cast of one of the worst shows in history.

Variety reports that Eric Idle (an original cast member of Monty Python's Flying Circus) will play Ian, the new owner of the San Francisco magazine who plans to radically change the format into a macho men's publication (like Details or Maxim).

The Flying Circus alum is just one of several new actors joining the show. The veteran British actor is a good start, but will it be enough to make a horrible sitcom funny? Will anyone care?
