At a romantic candlelit dinner in an exclusive London restaurant, Jim Carrey got down on one knee and popped the question to his Me, Myself & Irene co-star Renee Zellweger.

The actor flew from Hollywood to London, where Zellweger is filming the film adaptation of Bridget Jones' Diary, to give her a $64,000 engagement ring.

The pair met last year whilst filming the new Farrelly Brothers comedy, Me, Myself & Irene. Soon after filming began, the co-stars became an item.
