According to London Police, burglars broke into the newly purchased London home of pop diva Madonna and film director Guy Ritchie during the early hours of Thursday night, stealing the family's Range Rover and other possessions.

The 42-year-old singer, along with her two young children, were upstairs sleeping during the break-in and luckily were not harmed.

Madonna, who recently purchased the four-story house in London's trendy Notting Hill, recently commented that her move to London was due to her safety.
