The one hour series finale of Mad About You will air Wednesday July 21 at 8.30pm on Channel Ten.
In the series final episode, it's the year 2028 and an adult Mabel (Janeane Garofalo), shows her student film which attempts to explain why she is the way she is. Looking back to when she was one year old, Mabel recalls the moment when her parents discovered that they weren't actually married.
In an effort to legitimise their union, Jamie and Paul plan to get married immediately, but Jamie flees the scene when the time comes to pledge her love to Paul.
Looking back to 2005, Jamie insists that Paul have a vasectomy. But after changing her mind and asking Paul to have the procedure reversed, a conversation with her sister prompts her to request Paul have the vasectomy reinstated.
Meanwhile, the 2021 premiere of their daughter's film brings Paul and Jamie back together for the first time in months. Reflecting on what caused her parents marriage to break up, Mabel recalls important events in their lives.
