Hold onto your hats, folks. It's now official that Denise Drysdale will be hosting Nine's special "Forty Years of Logies" due to air in late November.
Unofficial word is that the show will be a two hour special. I wonder if they will be able to show everything in that short time period as they will be showing off stage antics as well as the on stage highlights.
The network couldn't have picked a better person to host it. She is the only bright spot on "IMT" and her appearance on "This Is Your Life' was a ratings blockbuster.
I for one will be looking forward to the show and I can only suppose that most of the research is being done by the vernable and very able Mike McColl Jones. For those of you who don't recognise the name; he was Graeme Kennedy's head writer, as well as Don Lane's and Bert Newton's.
Mike currently is toiling at Nine working on a number of projects and my spies tell me he has a book in it's final stages with a March publication date.
