Lisa McCune bows out with 4 GoldsMonday 1 May 2000 By eBroadcast Staff and agencies.
TV queen Lisa McCune did it again last night at the 2000 TV Week Logi Awards, becoming the only woman to win 4 consecutive Gold Logies.
The former Blue Heelers (which one Most Popular drama series) star equalled former TV king Ray Martin's record for consecutive Logies. She also took home the silver logie for Most Popular Actress.
Seachange had a good night, winning Most Outstanding Series, Most Outstanding Actor for William McInnes and a Most Outstanding nod for Sigrid Thornton.
The fashion queens and fashion victims were out in force on the red carpet. The biggest dress shock of the night went to former Sale Of The Century hostess Nicky Buckley, who lived up to her nickname "Nickers" by revealing them for all to see.
Supermodel Elle Macpherson wore a stunning turquoise Vera Wang gown and music superstar Macy Gray amazed the crowd with a loose rainbow jumpsuit.
Celebrity couples were out in force, with Neighbours' Brooke Satchwell and Matthew Newton (Bert's son) making their public debut. Martin Sacks took wife Kate along for the ride, while supersweet Elle brought her dad Peter Gow along. But what was D-Gen's Jane Kennedy doing with Rebecca Gibney? Just good friends we hear.
