Producers of the new American game show Survivor (based on popular Swedish and Dutch programs) will pit 16 contestants against one another in a game of social Darwinism on a tropical island near Borneo.

Participants must build shelters, collect food and engage in special contests as a unit, which will, no doubt, lead to plenty of Lord of the Flies-esque conflict. 10 on site camera crews will capture the drama as it unfolds.

How will they choose a winner? At the end of each installment the group will hold a meeting to decide who gets kicked off the island. This process goes on for 39 days until the group is finally whittled down to two.

The ex-castaways then decide who wins $1 million dollars. Any chance Eddie will host?
