Jana set for Sunday morningsThursday 16 January 2003 By eBroadcast Staff and agencies.
Though officially unconfirmed by the Nine Network, Jana Wendt is set to host the top-of-the-shelf current affairs show Sunday.
Jana Wendt, who resigned last month from her role as anchor on SBS's flagship Dateline, is understood to have been offered the Sunday gig whilst still at SBS.
Wendt will replace Jim Waley, who now anchors Sydney's National Nine News following Brian Henderson's retirement. Waley, who has hosted Sunday since 1981, has also officially vacated Business Sunday.
Jana Wendt left Nine five years ago to move to Seven where she hosted the ill-fated Witness. Previously she hosted Nine's A Current Affair and reported for 60 Minutes in Australia and in the USA.
