Last night more than 2.1 million viewers tuned in nationally for the much anticipated John Farnham's 50th Birthday Party on Channel Nine.
Originaly scheduled to be telecast direct from Melbourne's Regent Theatre last Thursday, John Farnham's 50th Birthday Party was rescheduled twice when rain interrupted play at Wimbledon.
In the five capital cities the concert was watched by an average 2,117,685 viewers, comfortably winning its timeslot in all markets.
In Sydney an average of 593,333 viewers watched the concert between 8.30pm and 10.50pm with a peak of 754,000 tuning in between 8.30pm and 8.45pm.
In Melbourne an average of 741,555 viewers tuned in for the whole concert with a peak of 810,000 between 9.30pm and 9.45pm.
Acros the Nine Network, figures were uniformly strong with an average of 338,000 in Brisbane, 238,222 in Adelaide and 201,555 in Perth.
The even was part of Farnham's national "I Can't Believe He's 50" concert tour.
