What a week for Australian content!
Sixteen shows out of the Top Twenty were Australian made. An amazing achievement for the Australian Television Industry.
Channel Nine won the ratings war once again with an overall figure of 34.1 per cent. Nine's only competitor, Channel Seven, scored just under 30 per cent. Channel Ten just managed to finish over 20 per cent whilst the ABC had 13.1 per cent, thanks mainly to the huge success of Monarch of the Glen. SBS came in last with 2.9 per cent.
It seems Channel Ten needs to start working harder before they are completely left behind by the other commercial Networks. Unfortunately Channel Ten had nothing to show for itself in the top twenty.
