The Nine Network today announced that champion swimmer Grant Hackett had joined its stable of sports personalities.

Under the long-term agreement, Hackett, 19, will make appearances on a variety of Nine's news, current affairs, lifestyle and sports programs.

Hacket joins star athletes Susie O'Neill, Michael Klim, Matt Shirvington and Nova Peris Kneebone who are also signed to Nine.

"Nine is particularly delighted to sign Grant who has already given us an indication as to how good a television talent he is going to be, not to mention his obvious record-breaking swimming ability," Nine Network Director of Sport, Gary Burns, said.
