Network Ten announced today Good New Week will move to the new timeslot of Monday evenings at 9.30pm from August 23, replacing LA Doctors.
Ten says it is still committed to the success of the Good News Week productions and fostering Australian product.
Network Ten's Director of Programming, David Mott, said today "Good News Week has been an integral part of Ten's profile in the marketplace. Due to the competitive nature of the Sunday evening timeslot, I believe the new timeslot of Monday evenings at 9.30pm will ensure an even great reach for the program."
Good News Week's new timeslot debuts with the Debate Spectacular "Happy Days Are Here Again" - a debate covering politics, government and technology. Paul McDermott argues for the positive side with American comedian Rich Hall and Amanda Keller. On the opposing team debate veterans Rod Quantock, Jean Kittson and Anthony argue for the negative. Mikey Robins will act as mediator.
No word yet on what will fill the Sunday night timeslot, or whether Good News Lite on Thursday's will remain.
