“Wheel of Fortune” welcomes back the current holder of the dubious honour
of the longest-running TV game host - Adriana Xenides. After a seven-month
sabbatical Adriana made her triumphant return for “Wheels” 3404th episode.
A standing ovation by an appreciative and loving audience almost brought
the statuesque hostess to tears.
“The Seven Network had no choice,” said showbiz commentator Peter Ford. He
went on to say “the Network could not afford more bad publicity after the
Burgess sacking and recent public comments.”
Kerrie Friend, the very capable ‘stand-in’ for Adriana is not a very happy
person right about now. Oh yes, “Wheel of Fortune” is actually hosted by
Rob Elliot.
