Oldman is receiving at least $1 million for his supporting role as the Roman governor of Judea who ignored his personal misgivings to order the crucifixion of Jesus. Oldman did not request payment of the 1 million in the form of a lifetime supply of rolling papers as anticipated.
The other characters, including Jesus, are close to being cast. We would like to suggest Howie Mandel for the role of Jesus, seeing as how he's got absolutely nothing to do these days.
The miniseries is scheduled to begin shooting in Morocco on May 10, with a
probable air date during a sweeps period next season.
Oldman has starred in films such as Lost in Space, The Fifth
Element, Air Force One, and Bram Stoker's Dracula.
When asked how he planned to play the role of Pontius Pilot, Oldman had no comment, but will most likely be really super dramatic.
