One can only imagine what was going through the heads of Fox executives when they made this decision. Hmm. Let’s see. Would viewers rather see people swallow swords,
and cover themselves with bees, or drive like maniacs and get attacked by a rabid parakeet?
Survey says: bad drivers and maniacal house pets.
Guinness, which is scheduled to air at its regular time slot the first Friday of sweeps
before sitting out the rest of the time, evidently has not drawn enough fans to warrant
another start. So, it’s time for the show to have a seat on the pine.
Coming out on the field instead, May 7, 14 and 21, respectively, are repeats
of World's Worst Drivers Caught on Tape, #1, Surviving the Moment of
Impact, #2 and When Good Pets Go Bad the evil step-cousin to American's Greatest Pets. Oh, the humanity.
A Fox spokesman would not comment on the reason for the scheduling shift or
whether the network intends to have Guinness return to the line-up. Chances are
good the show could be sent down to the minors.
Try to choke back those tears.
