It’s official: Fergie is to join NBC America's Today Show
After months of speculation it’s finally official. Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson has joined the Today team as a ‘special correspondent.’ Fergie plans to split time between her new NBC post and her job as spokesperson for Weight Watchers. Her role on Today will consist mainly of celebrity interviews and human interest stories -- at least initially.
"I think she's got a terrific personality and a lot of spunk," Today executive producer Jeff Zucker told the New York Post.
Fergie’s first report is slated to air later this year.
