It appears that everything old is new again in TV land. Returning to our screens shortly is Fast Forward's Funniest Moments. The old sketch show has been recycled for a Channel 10 prime time slot, but can Steve Vizard and crew deliver the ratings for Titanic 10?
Fast Forward was shown, repeated and repackaged plenty of times on Channel 7, and was then sold to cable to be shown, repeated and repackaged. So will anyone watch it this time around?
Some of the characters, like Hunch (Vizard's Hinch) may be past their use by date, but Kerri-Anne Kennel (Gina Riley as Kerri-Anne Kennerley) could find new popularity (I can just picture the real Kerri-Anne cringe).
The most popular show on 10 is The Simpsons, and that show has been repeated with success on both 10 and Foxtel, so maybe Fast Forward's Funniest Moments will surprise everyone and be a ratings winner. Time will tell.
