deadbeat Father, and a talking dog with a fondness for martinis? Ratings gold, baby. And that’s exactly what Family Guy has been for Fox as of late.

Based on weekend preliminary nationals, Fox has a shot at nosing ahead
of NBC for the week in the vital 18-49 demographic, though a tie is likely.
A victory would be Fox's first in the 18-49 demographic since the week of
the Super Bowl. Fox wrapped the April 12-18 period on a positive note,
winning Sunday in the 18-49 demo by 4 shares as Family Guy dominated
its slot in all key age groups.
In households, meanwhile, CBS is expected to win easily its third straight week.
With the win, the eye is expected to retain its 0.2 ratings-point edge over NBC
in the households season-to-date race, meaning NBC will need a big
May sweeps rally if it's to catch CBS in the season's remaining 5-1/2 weeks.
In adults 18-49, NBC is likely to emerge from the April 12-18 week
with a 0.2 or 0.3 season-to-date ratings-point advantage over Fox.
