One of your goals as the producer of the Emmys is to attract popular actors to present awards. The logic being: the bigger the stars, the higher the ratings. Well, this year’s Emmys have just added two big names to the bill, and are waiting to hear from another.
David Spade (Just Shoot Me), who is up for supporting comedy actor, and Steve Harris (The Practice), who's hoping for the supporting drama actor nod, have both agreed to present for next month’s Emmy broadcast. Garry Shandling (The Larry Sanders Show) has been pursued aggressively, but has yet to commit. The ceremony will be televised live on America's Fox from the Shrine Auditorium Sept. 12 and broadcast here on Channel Ten.
