EXCLUSIVE: Family Circle Television Is Cancelled!Thursday 26 November 1998 By eBroadcast Staff and agencies.
source: Shannon "Mozza" Morris
Family Circle Television, or FCTV as it is commonly known is to be formally cancelled at the end of this week. The program's staff in
Family Circle's Television department were told last Thursday that Network Ten has decided not to purchase and transmit anymore
episodes in the new year.
Just a few weeks ago in the Sydney Morning Herald, FCTV advertised for a position of a tape operator/junior editor. People who applied for the position were told that the position no longer applies. The show hosted by Penny
Cook of the Seven Network's The Great Outdoors fame, will join the Nine Network's Midday as another live daytime television series
to be cancelled this year. Penny Cook's future is in jeopardy this week. Sources say that she may move back to The Great
Outdoors as a travel reporter or host more Network Ten's Outake Files specials next year.
