The world's most popular alien, E.T., is coming back!

Announced last week, the 1982 Steven Spielberg classic will be re-released in 2002, twenty years after it first hit theaters. The re-released version will include never before seen footage as well as computer-generated enhancements.

E.T. tells the story of an abandoned alien who's befriended by a young boy. The film stars Henry Thomas and the debut of a six-year-old Drew Barrymore.
