ER seems to be losing cast members faster than a newly admitted crackhead loses brain cells. George Clooney checked out, and then Julianna Margulies and Eriq La Salle started looking for new positions. end her shift. According to her spokesperson, the actress is set to leave the cast "sometime this season." She plans to work on a singing career, along with a part in VH1's Sara.
Returning soon is Ming-Na Wen, who hasn't been seen since the first season when she was one of Noah Wyle's (Dr. John Carter) fellow interns. In a spectacularly poor decision, she left ER to work on NBC America's The Single Guy. No wonder she decided to return.
ER is also in search of a senior staff member to pick up where Dr. Ross left off (the show's ratings have dropped 16% since Clooney left). Both Donald Sutherland and Sidney Poitier were possibilities, but both declined the opportunity.
