ER seems to be losing cast members faster than a newly admitted crackhead loses brain cells. George Clooney checked out, and then Julianna Margulies and Eriq La Salle started looking for new positions. Now, according to Entertainment Tonight, Emmy-nominated Gloria Reuben (HIV-positive Jeanie Boulet) is getting ready to

end her shift. According to her spokesperson, the actress is set to leave the cast "sometime this season." She plans to work on a singing career, along with a part in VH1's Sara.

Returning soon is Ming-Na Wen, who hasn't been seen since the first season when she was one of Noah Wyle's (Dr. John Carter) fellow interns. In a spectacularly poor decision, she left ER to work on NBC America's The Single Guy. No wonder she decided to return. ER is also in search of a senior staff member to pick up where Dr. Ross left off (the show's ratings have dropped 16% since Clooney left). Both Donald Sutherland and Sidney Poitier were possibilities, but both declined the opportunity.
