Depressed Downey Breaks OutMonday 3 July 2000 By eBroadcast Staff and agencies.
Serving three years for drug possession, Robert Downey Jr claims he is sinking further and further into depression.
Imprisoned since August 1999 at the Californian Substance Abuse Facility and State Prison, Downey shares a cell with four other inmates and earns eight cents an hour working in the prison kitchen.
Downey, who's been drug-free since June 1999, could be released as early as November 2000 after time off for good behavior.
