Comment on the Captioning BillThursday 26 February 1998

Senator Natasha Stott Despoja will be introducing a Private Members Captioning for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Bill 1998 in the next sitting of the Senate.
The Bill aims to address the need for increased levels of captioning on television broadcasts and videos.
Senator Stott Despoja is encouraging the public to comment on the draft Bill in order to improve the Bill to better meet the needs of the deaf and hard of hearing community.
