Channel Nine had better go sitcom shopping, cos the cupboard is looking bare.
America's NBC announced today the cancellation of two of its Friends-friendly sitcoms - Kirsty Alley's Veronica's Closet and Christina Applegate's Jesse.
Both sitcoms began life as Friends stablemates, initially placed in the timeslot following the hit comedy. While successful in the first 2 seasons, Veronica's Closet and Jesse quickly ran out of steam.
Meanwhile, the personal lives of the two major sitcom stars are currently a mixed bag. While Kirsty Alley has recently been dumped by her long time boyfriend James Wilder, Christina Applegate announced today her engagement to actor Johnathon Schaech (Welcome to Woop Woop).
