A number of new shows hit our screens on Seven. Some of them are imports and some are local. I'm sure that if the ratings are OK then we will be seeing at least one of them during the regular season.
Aussie Top Sports
This is a travel show with a difference (as Seven publicity department describes it). The show, a six-part series, asks those who live, work and play in the holiday spots, to show the viewers around.
The show makes it appearance on Monday December 1 at 7:30pm. Will be interesting to see how it works.
Harry's Practice
Dr. Harry Cooper makes his long-awaited return to our screens. Best known as Australia's favourite vet, his new series makes it debut on Tuesday December 2 at 7:30pm.
Assisting Harry will be Dr. Katrina Warren, formerly of Totally Wild and they will both bring viewers vital information about raising their animals.
The series is set in Harry's home area in Tasmania - his property in Reilba, near Launceston. Nice to have you back, Harry.
Backup
An import from the UK, one of the writers of The Bill has created this acclaimed British cop series.
Making its appearance on Tuesday December 2 at 9:30pm, the show is set in and around the city of Birmingham and centres on Charlie Serial - a carack police team of men and women who work undercover and on the frontline.
The show has received the highest accolades from the British press and the stars have all appeared in numerous British telvision series.
Stargate SG-1
On Wednesday December 3 at 8:30 the two hour premier episode will be shown and then on Thursday December 4 (the show's new regular time periond) at 8:30pm, the series which takes up where the movie left off, makes its debut.
The two hour series premier stars Richard Dean Anderson, Michael Shanks, Christopher Judge and Amanda Tapping.
Buffy
This new show makes it debut on Thursday December 4 at 7:30pm. Based on the movie, Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, the show has been described as "The X-Files" meets "Beverly Hills 90210".
The show is both scary and humerous, all at once and is quite a hit in the US. It stars Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy Summers, an attractive new student at Berryman High.
Also starring are Nicholas Bendon, Charisma Carpenter, Anthony Stewart Head and Alyson Hannigan.
