Channel Nine Still The OneFriday 2 June 2000 By eBroadcast Staff and agencies.
After thirteen weeks of consecutive rating wins, Channel Nine have done it again with a little help from ‘Postcards’.
This low budget travel show has not only taken the ratings by storm, but also the viewers. Based in Melbourne, ‘Postcards’ has out-rated long running similar shows with high production costs such as ‘Better Homes & Gardens’ and ‘Getaway’.
In Nine’s shadow, Channel Seven has come second again with 30, followed by Channel Ten with just under 20. Channel Ten has again offered no real threat to its commercial competitors with not one show in the Top 20.
The ABC was next with 14.1 leaving SBS with 3.
