Nine today announced the recruitment of Rove McManus, host of Channel 31 Melbourne's program The Loft Live, to star in its new latenight comedy/chat show.
The only other details concerning the program are its stars. Joining Rove will be standup comedian Corinne Grant, Triple J's Peter Hilliar and Comedy Channel's David Callan.
The appointment of McManus comes surprisingly soon after the axing of another latenight comedy/show star, Mick Molloy.
Rove McManus kicked off his comedy career in WA working venues and cruise ships before he made the long trip east to Melbourne. Since coming to Melbourne he has hosted the community television chatshow The Loft Live, and Channel Nine's 1999 Melbourne Comedy Gala.
'Rove' premieres Wednesday, September 22 at 11pm on the Nine Network.
