Pop divas these days are no different than those of the past. After all, back in the day didn't Madonna use her pop diva status to snag several movie roles? Diana Ross did it. Even Debbie Gibson was offered a television show or two.

So it comes as no surprise to us that Spears has accepted an offer to appear on the television hit Dawson's Creek. It doesn't surprise us that she has also been offered several movie roles as well. All in the day of a diva with the number four album in the country.

While we all get used to seeing a lot more of Spears, we might as well get used to hearing a lot more of her too. She plans to head back in to the studio to record her second album very soon.
