After Harrison Ford declined to take the role of CIA analyst Jack Ryan for a third time, Paramount Pictures are quickly working towards a deal with Ben Affleck.
Affleck would take over the role in the upcoming The Sum of all Fears, a drama that sets Agent Ryan against terrorists who plan to nuke the Super Bowl in an attempt to start a World War. Affleck's age and youthful pulling power gives the studio an opportunity to draw a brand new audience to the movie series.
Harrison Ford took over the role of CIA Agent Jack Ryan in Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger after Alec Baldwin pulled out after The Hunt For Red October.
