AUSTIN POWERS CARTOON COMING TO HBO? Austin Powers: The Cartoon Who Shagged Me? Oh, behave!

NewLine Cinema and HBO representative are keeping the details under lock and key, but the Hollywood rumor mill is buzzing with unconfirmed details of an Austin Powers animated series in development.

New Line, who owns and distributed Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, and is has identical duties for the forthcoming The Spy Who Shagged Me, had zero to say about the supposed project. But, an HBO spokeswoman did comment that she could not "confirm or deny" that the pay-cable channel intends to air the show when it is ripe for the picking.

The animated series will reportedly use Myers' voice, with plots along the lines of those in Man of Mystery, and The Spy Who Shagged Me.

The Spy Who Shagged Me is slated to be released in theaters June 11. We will be the ones camped out at the theater June 10. See you there.
