Unconfirmed reports from Hollywood suggest that one of the stars of
Brides of Christ could become a regular on the new
television
series from David Lynch. Naomi Watts; who also made
Flirting,
Gross Misconduct and Tank Girl; is tipped to
star
alongside Dan Hedaya (Blood Simple) in Mulholland
Drive.
Lynch, whose last venture into television was the
controversial Twin Peaks, is also reported to have cast
Hollywood veteran Ann Miller and Oscar nominee Robert
Forster(Jackie Brown).
The L.A. Times further
reports that he is wooing British actress Helen Mirren (Prime
Suspect) for a key role.
This could be Watt's big break
in
the U.S. after sliding into forgettable video fodder like
Children of
the Corn Part 4.
