* Spotted Terasa Livingstone on the cover of the Australian
edition of FHM with the headline "Terasa Livingstone Gets
Steamy". It doesn't seem that long ago that the former co-host of
Agro's Cartoon Connection was on another magazine that
announced "Terasa Livingstone Gets Funky". Funky? Steamy? Is she
trying to change her image or something?
* Ventriloquist comedian David Strassman is set for his own TV
interview series, but will he be able to get a word in with Chucky
on his knee? Who will be game enough to be interviewed by them? This could
be one of the most entertaining chat programs in a long time. Maybe he
should put Ray Martin on his knee? (Sorry, I don't know what I was
thinking)
* Oops! Channel Seven had me thinking that The Practice
was a new U.S. show. It has, of course, been on our screens before, but this
second series does feature the addition of Lara Flynn Boyle as a
feisty prosecutor. Boyle is probably still best known for her role
in the cult show Twin Peaks.
* Totally Full Frontal is the title of the revamped
Full Frontal program. Axed by Seven and picked up by Ten, it has been given a second chance. The Logie-winning programme will return
with some familiar faces and some new ones, but it will be interesting to
see where Ten slots it. Will they be game enough to schedule it in the
730pm-8.80pm Sunday Night slot that The Comedy Company
championed all those years ago?
* Expect Home and Away to be a big winner at the
1998 AWGIE Awards. These awards for Australian scriptwriting
are held annually and this year the Aussie soap..Oops!.. I mean Series
Drama is nominated in the Television section for best scriptwriting in a TV
Serial. There are four nominations and all of them are for episodes of
Home and Away. So the winning episode will be either Ep 2310,
Ep 2286, Ep 2299 or Ep 2282. (You remember those ones don't you?)
