| We thought a picture of Kim Delaney would be far easier to look at than Ms. Lawrence, no?

Actress Sharon Lawrence, who plays Sylvia, the prosecutor married to Dennis Franz's character, will be written out of the ABC cop drama. Her fate will be revealed over the course the show's next two episodes starting with a 90 minute cliff-hanger Tuesday, then wrapping up with the finale next week.
"There's shots fired at the courthouse, and several people get hit,
and one of them may or may not be her,'' a spokeswoman for the ABC show said.
This marks the latest cast shuffle for NYPD Blue, who, at the beginning of the season, lost Detective Bobby Simone to a less than exciting heart condition.
"We obviously know her character is leaving, but how it affects Andy will be the key thing," the spokeswoman said trying desperately to find a way to be more vague.
Lawrence's role on the show is that of a supporting character. However, sometimes these prima donnas think they deserve more.
"She was vocal that she would like to have more and meatier material, but there is only so far you can go in serving her needs and those
of the show," said executive producer Mark Tinker, who directed the sixth season finale and probably has a really nice car.
Tinker declined to say whether Lawrence would die in the finale, but he did tell the Los Angeles Times that the possibility of a Rick Schroder/KimDelaney romance exists.
In other words, Lawrence's character is dead.
