Ann Ann just just awful awfulWednesday 24 June 1998 By eBroadcast Staff and agencies.

They really did a hatchet job on Benny Hinn on 60 Minutes (14/6). The charismatic tele-evangelist and self proclaimed faith healer, whose show screens here on the Ten Network, was grilled like a blackened steak on a backyard barbecue, about his miraculous powers.
It's a pity that the 60 Minutes team can't stick the same
journalistic boot into Ann Ann the Extraordinaire, the second-rate
Doris Stokes who appeared on I.M.T. the following
night. The psychic piffle trotted out by Ann Ann is sideshow alley
stuff at its worst, and is known to sceptics as a cold reading.
Basically, that means you make calculated guesses about a person based on
their looks, age and dress and then feed off their responses. Frank
Holden, however, must see her act as a good time waster, as she has
become a bit of a regular.
Message to Ann Ann: I'm thinking of a two-word message just for you. Can
you tell me what it is?
