Another voice has chimed in on the ever-important Anakin Skywalker casting question.

Variety's Michael Fleming, who generally knows of what he speaks, says that the lucky fellow is Hayden Christensen, a little-known teen actor who's appeared on the Fox Family Channel series "Higher Ground" and in a handful of TV movies. Fleming says Lucas is "close to" naming Christensen to play Anakin opposite Natalie Portman, who returns as Queen Amidala.

But as usual, no one is available for comment, and that irritating buzz about Tom Hanks' son Colin (a regular on "Roswell") being a lock for the role won't go away either, not that we believe it. So stay tuned, and just keep repeating this mantra to yourself: It won't be Leo.
