According to executive producer Peter Abbott, the 2003 Big Brother housemates won't know what hit them.
Speaking to The Sunday Telegraph over the weekend, Abbott alluded to major changes in the three key elements of the hit reality show - the house, the housemates and the rules.
Identifying a key problem with the second series of Big Brother last year, where housemates expected The Intruders and knew there would be a stadium-sized audience waiting for them at the end of the their run, the Big Brother producers are hoping to return the element of surprise and unfamiliarity to the house.
"It's very important that the housemates go in with no hint of what's going on." he told The Sunday Telegraph.
Other amendments may include the introduction of a celebrity house guest to the house, contestants nominating in front of the other housemates, and a much, much tougher Big Brother himself.
