ABC have announced that it will broadcast a public lecture to be delivered by the Irish political leader Gerry Adams during his visit to Australia later this month.
Adams has been invited to deliver the prestigious Wallace Wurth Memorial Lecture at the University of New South Wales on February 27 at 2.00pm. ABC will broadcast the lecture at 10.30pm the same day. Gerry Adams' theme will be 'The Future of the Peace Process in Ireland'.
"We are pleased to have the opportunity to broadcast one of the few public presentations from one of the key players in the Northern Ireland peace process. It will give audiences across the country a chance to hear his assessment of the future for peace in Ireland", says ABC's General Manager Ron Saunders.
