60 Minutes puts Ned Kelly back on trialWednesday 24 May 2000 By eBroadcast Staff and agencies.
Was Ned Kelly a murderer or was he framed?
That's the question put to a special 60 Minutes presentation to air this Sunday at 7.30pm on Nine.
The retrial, the highlight of National Law Week, sees Justice John Coldrey presiding. Defending Ned Kelly will be Michael Rozenes QC. Julian Burnside QC, star of the Australian Broadcasting Authority's Cash for Comment inquiry, will prosecute.
At the end of the trial, 60 Minutes will open the phone lines for a special poll that will give viewers the change to answer once and for all whether Ned Kelly died an innocent man.
